What Is Balayage?
Balayage is one of our most sought after colouring techniques at The Hair Business - and for good reason! Balayage works on both light and dark hair, giving your strands both texture and contrast. On blondes, it creates bright, beachy tones, on brunettes, rich caramel or honey shades, and on darker bases, subtle bronze or auburn hues.
Balayage is a freehand process, resulting in soft, natural-looking highlights that remain gorgeous even as they grow out, making this the ideal style if you're after a beautiful, low-maintenance style. Think golden, sun-kissed locks that mimic the natural effects of the sun.
Instead of using foils like in traditional highlights, your colourist will paint lightener or dye directly onto selected sections of hair using a sweeping motion. The colour is applied more heavily toward the mid-lengths and ends, and more softly near the roots, creating a gradual effect with no harsh regrowth line. Highlights & Babylights
